Shirley Banks $5,000 In Illinois

PEORIA, Ill. — Brian Shirley picked up $5,000 for winning Saturday night’s Illinois State Championship late model feature at Peoria Speedway.

Shirley started on the pole for the MARS Racing Series event and beat Jeff Herzog to the checkered flag.

Dennis Erb Jr., Todd Bennett and Jason Feger rounded out the top five.
