Jeremy Shaw is the reigning King of the Crates, earning the crown, robe and scepter in 2019. Shaw warmed up in an effort to keep his crown by finishing second in the King of the Crate 40 race at North Alabama Speedway on Sept. 11. Jimmy Thomas won the King of the Crate 40.
There were 27 entrants lined up for Boyd Built Group Qualifying when the rains came on Sept. 12, washing out the program and postponing it until Oct. 10. Rain checks from the Sept. 12 rain out will be honored for admission on Saturday night, Oct. 10.
Before returning to North Alabama Speedway, the next Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series National Touring race will be its first visit to Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, Ga., for a $4,000-to-win, $400-to-start race on Sept. 26.
