NEW YORK CITY – Superstar Racing Experience officials have announced that 1988 NASCAR Cup Series champion Bill Elliott will be a part of the inaugural season in 2021.
Throughout the course of his historic NASCAR career, Elliott won 44 NASCAR Cup Series races. Among his victories were two Daytona 500 triumphs, three victories in the Southern 500 and a Brickyard 400 win.
Elliott, who was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2015, is widely considered one of the most popular drivers in the history of NASCAR.
“I am excited to reunite with Ray Evernham and some of the great legends of our sport. I look forward to racing at some of the most historic American racing destinations and putting on an awesome show for the fans. We have a special driver field and it will be fun competing with some of the greatest drivers of all time,” said Elliott.
Elliott joins Tony Stewart, Tony Kanaan, Paul Tracy, Bobby Labonte, Willy T. Ribbs, Mark Webber and Helio Castroneves as the eighth confirmed driver for the series that will air Saturday nights in primetime on CBS Television Network in the Summer of 2021.
