SEYMOUR, Tenn. – Fresh off his victory in the Emil & Dale Reutimann Memorial last weekend at Florida’s Volusia Speedway Park, Tyler Nicely picked up another victory on Friday at Tennessee’s 411 Motor Speedway.
Nicely topped the 20-lap open-wheel modified main event that was part of the Friday program during the fifth annual Leftover race at the Seymour, Tenn., facility.
The Kentucky native had to hold off NASCAR Xfinity Series star Justin Allgaier during the 20-lap event, with Allgaier eventually settling for second at the three-eighths-mile dirt oval. Nicely led every lap of the $500-to-win feature.
Blake Brown, Nick Hoffman and Michael Asbury completed the top-five.
Other winners on the opening day of the Leftover included Mack McCarter (604 Late Models), Booger Brooks (602 Late Models), Clyde Stanton (Sportsman Late Models), Dustin Duncan (FWD), Robbie Comer (B-Hobby/Super Street) and Shaun Sise (Classic Car).
The Leftover continues on Saturday headlined by features for the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series and the Brucebuilt Performance Iron-Man Open-Wheel Modified Series.
