SEYMOUR, Tenn. – Jimmy Owens rolled to a $5,000 victory in the season finale Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series during the Leftover event Saturday at 411 Motor Speedway.
Owens roared past Cory Hedgecock on lap 17 and led the remainder of the 50-lap distance. The race ran caution free, with Owens beating Hedgecock to the checkers by more than six seconds.
Randy Weaver was third, followed by Dustin Linville and Clay Coghlan.
Ryan King finished 16th, which was enough for him to lock up the Schaeffer’s Oil Iron-Man Late Model Series championship.
Nick Hoffman won the companion Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Series feature, with Blake Brown locking up the series championship.
