SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Logan Martin came out on top of dirt late model portion of Turkey Bowl XIV at Springfield Raceway on Saturday, winning the event for the third time in his career.
After breaking a driveshaft during his heat race, Martin was forced to qualify for the main event via the B-Main. He finished second in the B-Main, which gave him the 14th starting position for the feature.
Martin quickly went to work in the main event and was up to third as Cole Wells and Jesse Stovall battled for the race lead. Coming out of turn four, Wells and Stovall made contact as they attempted to navigate slower traffic.
That opened the door for Martin, who dove to the bottom to take the race lead. He proceeded to lead the remainder of the feature to earn $4,000.
Kaeden Cornell finished second, followed by Wells, Scott Crigler and Travis Denning.
Other winners Saturday included Ryan Gillmore (USRA B-Mod), Steven Bowers Jr. (IMCA A-Mod), Jerad McIntire (Midwest Mod A-Class), Dave Comer (Legend Car) and Scott Busch (Mini Late Model).
