Toronto Raptors forward OG Anunoby has signed a four-year, $72 million contract, including a player option for 2024-2025, Klutch Sports head of basketball Omar Wilkes told ESPN.

Anunoby could have become one of the most coveted restricted free agents in the 2021 summer marketplace but finalized a deal before the Monday night deadline for players in the 2017 draft class.

Anunoby's significant two-way talent has elevated him to become one of the Raptors' young cornerstone players, which includes forward Pascal Siakam and guard Fred VanVleet. Toronto now has all three under long-term contracts.

Anunoby, 23, moved into a full-time starting role a season ago, averaging career-bests with 10.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists.

Anunoby was the 294th-ranked high school player in the country upon arriving with Indiana and former coach Tom Crean in 2015, and entered the 2017 NBA draft rehabilitating a torn ACL before the Raptors chose him with the 23rd overall pick.
