PORT ROYAL, Penn. – Less than a month ago, Port Royal Speedway announced an increase to the winner’s share for all of the track’s Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 races next season.
Thanks to Valley Supply, the Saturday, April 17 All Star event just got even bigger.
Valley Supply has come on board as the presenting sponsor for the sixth annual Keith Kauffman Classic and the feature winner will now receive $10,000 for their efforts.
Originally announced as paying $8,000 to the winner for this season, the $10,000 payout marks a $4,000 increase from last year’s amount.
The event honors Kauffman, a 24-time winner with the All Stars and the winningest driver in the history of Port Royal Speedway. Joining the 410 sprint cars on the schedule for the night will be limited late models, racing for a $1,500 winner’s share.
Valley Supply driver Anthony Macri picked up the win during last year’s Keith Kauffman Classic. The company also serves as a sponsor for Dylan Cisney.
“To be affiliated with a legend like Keith Kauffman can only help our company and we see this is a great opportunity and an honor,” said Harvey Sipe, owner of Valley Supply. “Sponsoring Port Royal Speedway and big events like the All Star Circuit of Champions will do great things for our company and we love supporting a sport whose fans are so passionate and deserving.”
For next season at Port Royal, Valley Supply will also offer a $200 hard charger award weekly to the night’s biggest mover in 410 sprint car competition.
This marks the second year in a row they will offer that bonus.
“The hard charger sometimes is the best race on the track and it’s something we really love doing,” said Sipe. “And sometimes that money can go to a smaller team who is deserving and every little bit can go a long way in helping those teams.”
The incentives don’t stop at the drivers though, as Valley Supply will be getting the fans involved in 2021 as well. Each week at the main gate entrance, Valley Supply will hand out various swag items, such as footballs, hats, shirts and more.
Those giveaways will have numbers attached to them representing the starting positions for the night’s 410 feature event.
If the fan has the number with the driver who earns the Valley Supply Hard Charger award for that evening, they will receive $30 cash courtesy of Valley Supply.
Some of the giveaways will also carry a symbol in the place of a number, and if a fan has that item, they will receive $30 cash along with a free pass to the next week’s racing event.
“We love supporting the drivers on the track, but this is a way to get the fans involved and make things more exciting throughout the night,” said Sipe. “Port Royal has a great fan base and, on most nights, they stick around for all the divisions.
“Hopefully by doing this, maybe we can convince that extra fan to stick around and have a chance at winning some cool prizes throughout the year.”
