TULSA, Okla. – For the seventh consecutive year, the field for the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals will feature more than 300 cars on the entry list.

As of Friday afternoon, 301 cars have officially filed their entries for the 35th edition of the Super Bowl of Midget Racing, with only a handful of open seats among the list.

New entries on the roster include Johnny Murdock’s Team Zero entry, which will set a record as Murdock makes his 24th straight Chili Bowl attempt, as well as a pair of Brian Buckwalter-owned cars from Pennsylvania for Kevin Woody Jr. and Steve Buckwalter.

Wayne and Cindy Crow will field two cars – one for Ryan Padgett and one for Ricky McNamar – while T&A Automotive has entered a No. 1x for rookie Anthony Esberg and well-known sports car and USAC Silver Crown driver Chris Dyson will wheel his own No. 99.

Last but not least, Cole Scott will drive a No. 2s Spike-Chevrolet for Steve Scott.

Previously open seats that have now been filled include the Hunt Brothers No. 10j, which will be driven by Lane Goodman; the final MSW Motorsports entry, which Pennsylvania’s Jeremy Hill will pilot; and Johnny Herrera’s No. 45j, which Shon Deskins will drive.

All of the mega teams which annually compete at the Chili Bowl – Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports, Clauson/Marshall Racing, Matt Wood Racing, CB Industries (formerly Tucker/Boat Motorsports), Petry Motorsports and RMS Racing – have all finalized their rosters for the Jan. 11-16 event inside the River Spirit Expo Center.

Past Chili Bowl winners entered to race include five-time winner Sammy Swindell, three-time event champion Christopher Bell, two-time winner Rico Abreu, Damion Gardner, Tim McCreadie and defending winner Kyle Larson, who took last year’s Golden Driller.
