Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. has been cleared from the NBA's health and safety protocols and returned to the team, a league source told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Thursday.
As he starts to work back his conditioning level, Porter is considered questionable for Friday's game against the Phoenix Suns, coach Michael Malone told reporters.
Friday starts a five-game road trip for the Nuggets, beginning with games against the Suns on back-to-back nights. Malone said he was hopeful that Porter could play during the road trip.
Porter has not played since Dec. 29 against the Sacramento Kings, missing the Nuggets' past 10 games. He was averaging 19.5 points and 6.8 rebounds over four games before entering the league protocols.
