Brooklyn Nets' star Kevin Durant has been ruled out of Friday night's game at the Cleveland Cavaliers for Achilles injury rehab.
Durant played more than 50 minutes in the Nets' double-overtime loss to the Cavaliers on Wednesday, tallying 38 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists.
Friday is also the first night of a back-to-back, as the Nets are slated to play the Miami Heat on Saturday. Durant has played in both games of back-to-back games once this season, on Jan. 12 against the Nuggets and Jan. 13 against the Knicks.
Durant said being able to play in back-to-backs was a goal of his after his Achilles injury. He tore his right Achilles tendon in June 2019.
He is averaging 31.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game this season.
