HOLLY, Mich. – Must See Racing has confirmed a multi-year partnership with California-based high performance lubricants company Maxima Racing Oils.

As part of the agreement, Maxima will serve as the title sponsor of the Must See Racing Midwest Lights Series, the feeder division to the nationally-known Must See Racing-sanctioned 410 sprint car class.

The new name for the crate-engine powered sprint car series will be the Maxima Racing Oils Must See Racing Midwest Lights Series. The first race featuring the Maxima partnership is scheduled for April 17.

“All of us at Maxima Racing Oils are excited to join forces with Jim and Nancy Hanks and the staff at Must See Racing for their Midwest Lights season,” said Gene Jones, East Coast Sales & Business Development Manager for Maxima. “For us, being able to reach a new series, a new audience and a new group of racers who are getting involved and trying to move up the ladder is something that’s important to us as a company and important for the sport. Being a manufacturer that 90 percent of what we do is performance and racing, it’s important to us to provide reliable products and support series and people who are still trying to advance and keep our sport going strong.

“We look forward to the Midwest Lights campaign and are proud to be a part of the next generation of racing stars, as well as support the veterans of the sport.”

Founded in 1979 and headquartered in Southern California, Maxima is recognized as one of the leading brands in the racing industry. Decades of involvement in professional racing has led to powerful technology and a full array of high performance oils, lubricants and other ancillary products.

While Maxima’s involvement in powersports goes back more than four decades, their line of automotive products and support has been active since 2012.

Ohio teenager J.J. Henes was the inaugural Midwest Lights champion, taking top honors last season in a pandemic-abbreviated schedule by a single point.

Must See Racing President Jim Hanks is eager to kick off the sanctioning body’s new agreement with Maxima and looking forward to the opportunities for growth that aligning with the familiar brand provides for Must See Racing’s portfolio of events.

“We are proud to announce Maxima Racing Oils as the primary sponsor of our growing Midwest Lights winged sprint car series,” said Hanks. “The unsurpassed high performance of the Maxima brand of racing oils, lubricants and their full array of market-leading products presents an exciting opportunity to represent a great company at events and in the marketplace.”
