Sister track Indianapolis Speedrome renews with SPEED SPORT to build on    successful broadcast partnership.

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — The SPEED SPORT Network has entered into an exclusive five-year agreement to provide production, broadcast and marketing services for Circle City Raceway and the Indianapolis Speedrome.

A quarter-mile dirt track located at the Marion County Fairgrounds, Circle City Raceway will open May 20. The track is the culmination of a business partnership between the Marion County fair board and Speedrome owner Kevin Garrigus.

Circle City Raceway was born on Oct. 1 with construction on the race track and support structures continuing throughout the winter. Grandstands to seat 5,000 fans are on the site and new restrooms and concession stands have been constructed.

Located in the southeast side of Indianapolis, the fifth-mile Indianapolis Speedrome ran its first race in 1941 and has been owned and operated by Garrigus since 2016.

A dedicated Circle City Raceway branded streaming app and website will join more than 75 other affiliates, including Speedrome.tv, as part of the rapidly growing SPEED SPORT Network, which is coming off a year of record growth in 2020.

Jonathan Byrd, promoter at the Speedrome and Circle City Speedway, was the driving force in keeping both properties on SPEED SPORT Network. He worked directly with SPEED SPORT’s management team to craft an aggressive and innovative broadcast and marketing plan.

“When deciding what was going to be the best solution going forward for both tracks, we had interest from multiple companies,” Byrd explained. “During our evaluations, we came up with a very aggressive, unique proposition with SPEED SPORT, presented it and discovered they had some even more unique ideas that really helped make our decision. With our history, we are passionate about Figure 8 racing, and combining that with what our plans are for the dirt track, we found that there were so many synergies among the Speedrome, Circle City Raceway and the SPEED SPORT Network, it was a no-brainer. We know that over the next few years, the relationship founded today will reap a hundred-fold, and the successes generated will help promote the sport of auto racing, and our race tracks, specifically.”

The SPEED SPORT Network is a joint venture between Turn 3 Media, LLC and the streaming broadcast technology company Riivet, Inc. The network delivers SPEED SPORT’s legendary brand credibility, editorial might and massive audience with a proven, proprietary approach to motorsports broadcasting.

The SPEED SPORT Network will dedicate production services, technology, business services, equipment, support and marketing for the full Speedrome schedule and for the non-national touring series events at Circle City Raceway. The Speedrome’s season opens April 3 with a Late Model Figure 8 show, while Circle City begins its SPEED SPORT broadcasts with the Marion County Fair Summit Modified Series on June 25.

Pricing and distribution details will be announced soon. Riivet founder and the SPEED SPORT Network’s driving force, Chris Graner, will work closely with Byrd and Circle City and Speedrome officials.
