Egypt’s Ali Farag and Nour El Sherbini have held on to their spots at the summit of the May PSA World Rankings.
The postponement of April’s Manchester Open due to COVID-19 means that the top 20 is unchanged from last month.
However, Farag and El Sherbini’s PSA rivals will be competing alongside them at the El Gouna International Platinum event between May 20-28 as they look to put pressure on the leaders.
In the men’s rankings, Farag leads the way for a seventh consecutive month ahead of Mohamed ElShorbagy (2), Tarek Momen (3), Paul Coll (4) and CIB PSA Black Ball Squash Open winner Marwan ElShorbagy, who completes the top five.
The top 10 is rounded out by Karim Abdel Gawad (6), Fares Dessouky (7), Diego Elias (8), Joel Makin (9) and Miguel Rodriguez.
El Sherbini is joined in the women’s top five by Nouran Gohar (2), Nour El Tayeb (3), Camille Serme (4) and Amanda Sobhy (5).
The rest of the top 10 features Sarah-Jane Perry, Hania El Hammamy, Joelle King, Salma Hany and Tesni Evans.
Malaysian duo Adam Agan and Siow Yee Xian are the biggest movers in the men’s rankings. Agan rises 179 places to No.437 after reaching the quarter-finals of the SRAM PSA 1 last month, while Yee Xian rises 175 spots to No.432 after reaching the same stage.
The biggest women’s mover is England’s Margot Prow, who rises 130 places to No.221 after battling to the semi-finals of the SOAP Engineering Squash Open in April.
Meanwhile, Vanessa Raj of Malaysia enjoyed an 89-place jump to No.262 after making it to the quarter-finals of that tournament, where she lost out to Prow.
