As part of ITTF High Performance & Development expanded Participation Program, Member Associations will be able to take advantage of Stupa Analytics’ Artificial Intelligence (AI) based performance analysis. Member Associations will use Analyse & Rise to monitor and track their players’ training and match performance through data analytics and AI, analyse an athlete’s technical performance, derive trends and patterns, and receive a detailed analysis of an athelte’s game.
Analyse & Rise will complement the existing cooperation between the two parties, which began as an additional service to With The Future In Mind Scholarship holders in the field of performance analysis two years ago and progressed into the production of the Weekly Training Lessons series at the start of 2020.
ITTF High Performance & Development Director Polona Cehovin said:
“At the ITTF High Performance & Development Department we are very pleased to continue our cooperation with Stupa Analytics. Even more so because we keep upgrading and expanding the portfolio of services that we are gradually introducing into our Programs. It started 2 years ago when we introduced performance analysis services into our With the Future in Mind scholarship program, which we later on topped up with on-site training analysis for the Hopes Squad. In 2020, when the pandemic hit, we came up with the idea of online training lessons and collaborated with the Indian company, who were excited about taking this step, so stay tuned as the fourth season is in the making. Finally, we are especially excited about the new “kid on the block”, i.e. the packages for the Member Associations that are incorporated in the soon to be launched Participation Program, another addition to the ITTF Development Program. We live in a digital World therefore it doesn’t come as a surprise that Artificial Intelligence has made it to Table Tennis as well, and thanks to our cooperation with Stupa Analytics soon also to all the 226 ITTF members.”
Stupa, an India based company, have developed an innovative software for analyzing Table Tennis Matches and Practice sessions. The software captures the data from the videos and harnesses the power of data analytics to analyze an athlete’s technical performance, derive trends and patterns from historic data and provide a detailed analysis of an athlete’s game.
Ms. Megha Gambhir, Founder-Chief Executive Officer, Stupa Sports Analytics, said:
“I thank ITTF for giving Stupa the responsibility and opportunity to collaborate in its High Performance & Development programmes with member associations. Stupa’s analytics solutions will perfectly sync with ITTF High Performance & Development’s vision on embracing new innovation and technologies to strengthen global Table Tennis. I am sure, analytics will help players and coaches to discover new insights. It will draw new revelations, patterns and standards of performance and coaching, which can be optimized further. The changes will take the excitement of competitions to a whole new level.”
