Wednesday's game between the Nationals and Phillies in Philadelphia has been postponed as Washington deals with a COVID-19 outbreak, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan.
According to sources, multiple players and coaches tested positive Wednesday, a day after Nationals All-Star shortstop Trea Turner was pulled in the first inning of Tuesday's game after returning a positive test.
The timeline for Turner's positive result suggests his test was taken Monday.
Nationals manager Dave Martinez told reporters that he couldn't comment on whether Turner has been vaccinated.
Washington also dealt with a COVID-19 outbreak ahead of Opening Day, forcing the team to start its season five days later than it was supposed to.
