The San Francisco Giants and shortstop Brandon Crawford have agreed to a two-year, $32 million contract extension, the team announced Friday.

The agreement, which has a base salary of $16 million for each season, runs through the 2023 season.

The 34-year-old Crawford, who has selected to the All-Star Game for a third time this season, has a .296 batting average with 19 home runs, 69 RBI and a .904 OPS.

The Bay Area native is the franchise's all-time leader in games played at shortstop, surpassing Hall of Famer Travis Jackson earlier this season.

During his 11 seasons with San Francisco, Crawford has won two World Series titles, three Gold Glove awards and a Silver Slugger award.
