Goa have signed allrounder Shubham Ranjane, pacer Shrikant Wagh and wicketkeeper-batter Eknath Kerkar as their outstation professional players for the upcoming Indian domestic season.
The development was confirmed to PTI, on Thursday, by Goa Cricket Association (GCA) secretary Vipul Phadke.
The 27-year-old Ranjane, a right-hand batter and medium pacer who has turned out for Mumbai and Maharashtra, has played 12 first-class matches so far, scoring 513 runs and claiming five wickets.
Left-arm pace-bowling allrounder Wagh, 32, made his first-class debut in 2007 and has featured in 64 first-class matches - 62 of those for Vidarbha and one apiece for Central Zone and India A. He has taken 161 wickets in the format with best-bowling figures of 5 for 23 and scored 1646 runs with a hundred and five fifties.
Kerkar, 27, has played only two first-class matches for Mumbai after debuting in 2018. He scored a half-century in one of those and took six catches in the other.
The BCCI had earlier announced that the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (T20s), the Vijay Hazare Trophy (one-dayers) and the Ranji Trophy (first-class games) will be held this season as part of the men's domestic calendar. Last season, the BCCI did not conduct the Ranji Trophy due to complications arising from the Covid-19 pandemic.
