Ivan Mai and Kev Kats gave Ukraine the perfect start by beating Patryk Chojnowski and Piotr Grudszien (11-6, 11-4, 11-6), before Patryk Chojnowski overcame Ivan Mai (11-7,11-3, 11-5 ) to level matters, leaving Lev Katz the task of completing matters.

He duly succeeded overcoming Piotr Grudzien in four games (12-14, 11-9, 11-7, 11-2).

A closely fought contest, the remaining men’s team class 9-10 contests were more decisive.

China’s Lian Hao and Zhao Yi Qing recorded a 2-0 win against Great Britain’s Ashley Facey Thompson and Josh Stacey; by the same margin Nigeria’s Tajudeen Agunbaide accounted for Montenegro’s Lika Bakic and Filip Radovic.

In the one remaining fixture, it was success for Australia. Ma Lin and Joel Coghlan beat the French pairing Mateo Boheas and Giles de la Bordonnaye.

At the semi-final stage China meets Ukraine, Australia opposes Nigeria.

Semi-finalists decided in men’s team class 9-10, it was the same in men’s team class 4-5.

Slovakia represented by Peter Mihalik and Boris Travincek recorded a 2-1win against Turkey’s Abdullah Ozturk and Ali Ozturk, by the same margin Korea Republic’s Kim Youngun and Kim Junggil overcame Poland’s Rafal Lis and Krzystof Zylka.

Meanwhile, the Chinese duo formed by Cao Ningningand Guo Xingyuan secured a 2-0 success against Chile’s Cristian Gonzalez and Luis Flores, a result also achieved by the French pairing of Florian Merien and Nicolas Svant Aira in opposition to Nigeria’s Ahmed Koteosho and Isau Ogunkunle.

In the penultimate round Slovakia meets China, Korea Republic opposes France.

All semi-finals will be played on Wednesday 1st September.
