Toss Bangladesh opted to bat vs New Zealand
An unchanged Bangladesh chose to bat in their second T20I against New Zealand, who made two changes to their XI after the thrashing a couple of days ago in the series opener. New Zealand handed a debut to Wellington Firebirds' tearaway Ben Sears, and brought in Hamish Bennett. They came in for Blair Tickner and Jacob Duffy. There was no place for the big-hitting Finn Allen, who has recovered from a bout of Covid-19 recently and linked up with the squad ahead of the second game of the series. The hosts would be upbeat after their seven-wicket win in the opener in which they bowled New Zealand out for 60, the lowest T20I total by any team against Bangladesh. It gave them a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
