Brad Gilbert, Chris McKendry and Chrissie Evert recap Serena Williams’ 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 quarterfinal victory vs. Alison Riske at Wimbledon. Evert believes Williams needed a hard-fought match like the one Riske gave her, before facing the tougher opponents she’ll see in the next rounds. Gilbert says he’s impressed by Williams’ serve, but saw that she struggled when she couldn’t ace her opponent. The group discuss whether the pressure of her upcoming mixed doubles matches with Britain’s Andy Murray will help or hurt her performance in the singles semifinals.
