The ITTF is launching the bidding processes for the following events. The “Expression of Interest” phases will begin tomorrow, 1^st April 2022.

Each of these events will deliver a wealth of benefits to their hosts and attract fans from all around the globe.

2025 World Championships Finals

The World Table Tennis Championships Finals is a table tennis festival, promoting globally all facets of the sport and the city in which it is held. The host will continue the tradition of the most prestigious event in table tennis, which first started in 1926 and keeps going from strength to strength.

It offers the incredible global reach of over 500 million fans on fast-growing TV and digital platforms. The new format allows for all matches to be televised globally, and flexible scheduling to ensure that the key matches are being held at prime times to assist with ticket sales and television viewership.

Bidding Process for 2025 World Table Tennis Championships Finals

• Interest phase [1 April 2022 – 30 June 2022]: Expression of interest for hosting is a must for access to the following phases of the bid process.

• ​​Final Bid phase [1 July 2022 – 31 August 2022]: The ITTF will release additional requirements and other resources to bidders which have expressed interest for hosting.

• Evaluation of Bids [1 September 2022 – 30 September 2022]: The ITTF Officials and Staff will conduct the evaluation and inspections.​

• Host City Election [October 2022]: The ITTF votes for the host of the 2025 WTTC Finals

2023 and 2024 World Youth Championships Finals

This is the most prestigious World Title Event for the young players. Welcome the sport’s brightest talents and inspire the next generation of Table Tennis Champions.

World Youth Championships Finals are also a great way to put your city in the spotlight and to start off hosting higher level events.

• Final Bid phase [1 July 2022 – 31 August 2022]

2024 World Veteran Championships

An event for the champions of the present and the past. With several age categories and 44 World Titles on offer, this is an event for anyone and everyone who continues to show their passion for the sport!

Veterans’ events have their own worldwide ranking system, enhanced marketing and social media programmes. Attracting more than 7000 persons including players, accompanying persons, officials, and volunteers, the World Veteran Championships provide its host with a wealth of tourism-related opportunities.
