Mohamed Salah has posted a cryptic message about his Liverpool future a day after scoring his team's winning goal against Brighton.
Arne Slot extended his impressive start to his tenure with the 2-1 comeback victory, with the Egypt international scoring what the coach called a "Mo Salah special" to complete the turnaround.
Salah, 32, is one of a number of stars the Merseyside club risks losing for free at the end of the season, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk also out of contract next June.
"Top of the table is where this club belongs. Nothing less," Salah wrote on social media on Sunday.
"All teams win matches but there's only one champion in the end. That's what we want. Thank you for your support last night.
"No matter what happens, I will never forget what scoring at Anfield feels like."

Salah told Sky Sports at the start of the season that this could be his final season with Liverpool, the team he joined in 2017 from AS Roma.
After his winner at Anfield on Saturday, he now has 164 goals in 273 appearances for the club. He won the Premier League under Jürgen Klopp in 2020 and the Champions League in 2019, as well as an FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
Slot has remained tight-lipped on the future of Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold repeatedly when asked this season.
Chelsea: Martinez went for Palmer's legs, clear red
Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca said Manchester United's Lisandro Martínez should have been sent off for going "for the legs" of Cole Palmer with a reckless challenge which resulted in a yellow card for the defender during Sunday's 1-1 Premier League draw at Old Trafford.
Argentina international Martinez was booked by referee Robert Jones in the third minute of stoppage time for the foul on Palmer in which he caught the England forward high on the knee.
Video Assistant Referee Michael Salisbury reviewed the challenge before announcing that Jones's on-field decision would stand because, according to the Premier League, it was deemed to be a "reckless challenge and not serious foul play."
Former United captain Roy Keane, working at the game as a pundit for Sky Sports, said, "Martinez is a lucky boy. It's a nasty tackle," and Chelsea coach Maresca claimed that he told the referee that Martinez should have been sent off.
"They [TV] showed me [the challenge] before the press conference," Maresca told reporters. "I think it's quite clear for all of us and they [officials] took a different decision.
"When there is no intention to go for ball and you only go for the player, it's a red. He [referee] didn't say nothing, but when you go for a player or the legs, there is no doubt about the decision. I think it is quite clear it is a red."
Ruud van Nistelrooy, United's interim coach, said he didn't see the challenge as a red, but admitted he had yet to see a replay of the incident.
"I haven't seen it," Van Nistelrooy said. "I saw it on the touchline and I didn't see it as a red, but I would have to watch it again to give an opinion."
Maresca, meanwhile, said that Chelsea are waiting to assess the full extent of Palmer's injury.
"He [Palmer] is waiting in changing room with ice," Maresca said. "We hope it's nothing important."
Falcons' London scores TD, later ruled out (hip)
ATLANTA -- Falcons wide receiver Drake London sustained a hip injury in the first half of Atlanta's 27-21 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
He was ruled out of the game at halftime.
London caught a 9-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kirk Cousins with 5:23 left in the first quarter. He did not return after that. The third-year player went up for the catch in coverage and came down hard.
It was London's sixth touchdown catch of the season, which ties his combined total from the previous two seasons. The total is also the most any Falcons receiver has had in a single season since 2020 (Calvin Ridley).
London came into the game tied for fourth in the league in receptions (48) and 13th in yards (525).
Saints WR Olave suffers 2nd concussion of season
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Saints wide receiver Chris Olave left Bank of America Stadium on a backboard and was taken to a local hospital after sustaining his second concussion of the season in New Orleans' 23-22 loss Sunday.
Olave was later discharged from the hospital and will return with the team to New Orleans on Sunday night, the Saints said.
Olave took to X to express thanks for the support he has received.
Thank God Preciate all the love & prayers Ima be aight
Chris Olave (@chrisolave_) November 3, 2024
Olave was hit in the head and neck area by Carolina Panthers safety Xavier Woods while attempting to catch a high pass across the middle of the field from Saints quarterback Derek Carr midway through the first quarter. Olave hit the ground and did not get up as officials threw multiple flags for unnecessary roughness on Woods. Players and coaches from both teams gathered around Olave as the medical staff worked to strap him onto a backboard and load him onto the cart.
Olave was able to move his feet and lifted his hands to give some of his teammates high fives before he was driven off the field while strapped to the backboard. It marked the third straight game in which Olave took a significant hit to the head and neck area.
Olave has now been put into the league's concussion protocol for the fourth time in his three-year career and has missed two games with concussions. He sustained a concussion in his rookie season in 2022 in Week 5 and missed the following game. He was removed from a Week 12 game against the Atlanta Falcons last year with a concussion but played the next week.
He missed the Saints' Week 7 "Thursday Night Football" game against the Denver Broncos after sustaining a concussion the previous week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also took a hard hit against the Los Angeles Chargers last week and had to pass neurological tests in the medical tent before returning to the game.
Olave recently switched helmets instead of opting to wear a Guardian Cap in games.
"I just felt like I had changed my helmet to the best helmet so the hit I took in the game, it didn't really hurt as much as it did with the other helmet," Olave said this week. "Once I switched helmets, I felt like I'd be good without the Guardian Cap."
He said he wore his new helmet against the Chargers and felt he took less of an impact after taking a helmet to the shoulder area.
"I was good man," Olave said this week. "I know every big hit they kind of check for concussions and stuff, especially with my history. I was good when I got up, though, so I knew I was going to be able to go back in."
Oregon unanimous No. 1 in AP poll ahead of UGA
Oregon was the unanimous choice for No. 1 in The Associated Press college football poll on Sunday, strengthening its bid for the top spot in the College Football Playoff selection committee's first rankings of the season.
The Ducks are No. 1 in the AP Top 25 for the third straight week, and unanimous for the first time, following their 21-point road win against Michigan.
Georgia, which received one No. 1 vote last week, remained No. 2 after overcoming Carson Beck's three interceptions and pulling away late to beat Florida.
Ohio State earned a one-spot promotion to No. 3 with its win at Penn State, the Buckeyes' eighth in a row in the series. No. 4 Miami, which beat Duke, and No. 5 Texas, which was idle, each moved up a spot. Penn State, which had been in the top five in the previous polls, slipped to No. 6.
The CFP's expansion to 12 teams this season means losses by top teams to other top teams aren't a certain disqualifier in the race for the national championship. The CFP's first rankings of the season will be released Tuesday and updated weekly until the bracket is announced Dec. 8.
Tennessee held its place at No. 7 despite scuffling well into the fourth quarter against three-win Kentucky and winning 28-18.
Indiana jumped five spots to No. 8, its highest ranking since it was No. 7 in 2020 -- and best in a non-pandemic season since the Hoosiers were No. 4 during their 1967 Rose Bowl season. The Hoosiers rolled past Michigan State 47-10 on the road to go 9-0 for the first time in program history; every win has been by double digits.
No. 9 BYU and No. 10 Notre Dame were idle.
SMU's 48-25 win over Pittsburgh earned the Mustangs a promotion from No. 20 to No. 13. -- the biggest upward movement this week. They haven't been ranked so high since they were No. 3 on Oct. 1, 1985, two years before the NCAA levied the "death penalty" that shut down the program in 1987 for egregious rules violations. The school also chose not to field a team in 1988.
Poll points
Clemson and Iowa State, tied for No. 11 last week, took the biggest falls after losing at home. The Tigers plummeted eight spots to No. 19 with their 33-21 loss to Louisville. The Cyclones dropped six spots to No. 17 with their 23-22 loss to Texas Tech. Texas A&M, Kansas State and Pittsburgh each fell five spots.
Army, at No. 18, has its highest ranking since it was No. 10 at midseason in 1960.
Boise State, at No. 12, has its best ranking since it was No. 8 in the 2011 final poll.
Indiana is ahead of Notre Dame for the first time since the final poll in 1979, when the Hoosiers were No. 19 and the Irish were unranked. The schools are separated by 200 miles in Indiana.
In-and-out Vanderbilt's 17-7 win at Auburn allowed the Commodores to return to the poll, at No. 24, after a one-week absence.
Louisville, which had been ranked every week in September, is back at No. 25 following its upset at Clemson.
Illinois, 24th last week, saw its seven-week run in the Top 25 end with its 25-17 loss to Minnesota at home.
Missouri, which had been in the poll every week and as high as No. 6, dropped out after an open date. The Tigers hung on at No. 25 last week despite a 34-0 loss to Alabama.

Cowboys lose QB Prescott to hamstring injury
ATLANTA -- The Dallas Cowboys lost quarterback Dak Prescott to a hamstring injury late in the third quarter of Sunday's 27-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
The Cowboys were trailing 27-13 when Prescott was ruled out with 11:08 to play in the fourth. Television replays showed Prescott grimace after a 10-yard completion to Jalen Brooks on the Cowboys' final drive of the third quarter.
Prescott had a season-high 30 yards rushing, including a 22-yard gain on a second-quarter scoring drive. It was the Cowboys' longest run of the season and Prescott entered the game with 24 yards rushing on the season.
Prescott completed 18 of 24 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown before he left. Replays also showed Prescott with a swollen hand, but the Cowboys have not made an announcement about a possible injury to his hand.
Cooper Rush replaced Prescott and had 115 yards to go along with a touchdown. He played in two games this season in mop-up duty, completing 9 of 14 passes for 52 yards and an interception. In 2022, he went 4-1 as the Cowboys starter after Prescott suffered a broken right thumb in the season opener.
In 2020, Prescott missed 11 games with a dislocation and fracture of his right ankle. He missed one game in 2021 because of a right calf strain. Since breaking his thumb, he had made 36 straight starts, including Sunday.
With Prescott out, Trey Lance, who has served as the No. 3 quarterback since the Cowboys acquired him from the San Francisco 49ers last year, is the backup quarterback.
Sources: Royals keep Wacha on 3-year, $51M deal
Right-hander Michael Wacha and the Kansas City Royals agreed on a three-year, $51 million contract that includes a fourth-year club option and can max out at $72 million, sources told ESPN.
The Royals announced the deal Sunday but did not disclose terms.
Wacha, 33, was expected to opt out of the final year of the two-year, $32 million deal he signed with the Royals last winter but preferred to stay in Kansas City, where he thrived in front of one of baseball's best defensive teams.
Kansas City likely would have tendered Wacha a qualifying offer, which would have dampened his free agent market, and the sides struck a deal during the five-day quiet period after the World Series during which teams can re-sign their free-agents-to-be. Wacha will nearly double his career earnings with the deal.
Wacha's nomadic career -- he has played for six teams in the past six seasons -- has been on the upswing since he turned 30. He found perhaps the best version of himself last year, going 13-8 with a 3.35 ERA in 29 starts, his most since 2017. Wacha and Seth Lugo, his former San Diego Padres teammate, helped stabilize a rotation that also includes All-Star Cole Ragans and drove Kansas City's evolution from a 56-win team in 2023 to an 86-win playoff team this year.
"I can't say enough good things about him as a teammate. I really can't," Royals manager Matt Quatraro said before Wacha's Game 1 start of the American League Division Series. "He is the most dialed-in pitcher I have ever seen when he's not pitching. He's into every pitch. He's high-fiving guys for keeping the double play in order, for breaking up a double play, for throwing to the right base. He's into every at-bat when his teammates are up there. He's looking for things with the other team when he's on the bench.
"He is the consummate professional."
Over 166 innings in 2024, Wacha struck out 145, walked 45 and allowed 17 home runs. Armed with one of the best changeups in baseball, Wacha has the 18th-ranked ERA (3.30) among the 80 starting pitchers with at least 300 innings since 2022.
The deal will pay Wacha $18 million in 2025, $18 million in 2026 and $14 million in 2027, with an additional $4 million available in easily reachable performance bonuses, sources said. The club option is for $14 million and includes the same $4 million in incentives and a $1 million buyout.
Kansas City is hoping to fortify its rotation as well as add impact bats this winter. The Royals' offense struggled in six postseason games -- two in a wild-card-round win against Baltimore and four in a division-series loss against New York -- hitting .231/.287/.291.
Wacha started Games 1 and 4 against the Yankees, going 4 innings and allowing two runs in the first game and allowing three runs over four innings in his second start.
Zverev beats Humbert for first Paris Masters title
Germany's Alexander Zverev claimed a straight-set win over home favourite Ugo Humbert to clinch his first Paris Masters title.
The new world number two beat the French number one 6-2 6-2 on Sunday to secure the seventh ATP 1000 title of his career.
Both were playing in their fourth final of the year, with Zverev having lost the French Open final to Carlos Alcaraz in June.
Zverev's semi-final win on Saturday was enough to ensure the 27-year-old will now leapfrog Alcaraz and regain second spot in the ATP rankings.
Humbert, 26, stunned Alcaraz in the last 16 at Palais Omnisports in Bercy before reaching his first Masters final, becoming the first French finalist at the indoor event in 13 years.
"I came as a kid to watch matches here and it made me want to do what I do, so I'm very happy to have reached the final," said the world number 18.
Barça beat local rivals Espanyol with first-half blitz
LaLiga leaders Barcelona beat Espanyol 3-1 in the Catalan derby on Sunday thanks to a first-half double from Dani Olmo and a goal from Raphinha.
The victory moved Barça nine points clear of Real Madrid, who did not play away at Valencia this weekend after their match was postponed due to the devastating floods in the region. Espanyol are 17th, a point above the relegation zone.
Barça dominated possession from the outset and Olmo was busy in the first half, scoring two sublime goals after finding space in and around the box, while Raphinha also scored to give the hosts a 3-0 lead at the break.
After VAR disallowed two Espanyol goals for offside, they finally beat the offside trap when Javi Puado scored to deny Barça another clean sheet.
Wrexham have been eliminated from the FA Cup in the first round after losing 1-0 away at lower-league Harrogate Town on Sunday.
Harrogate, 17th in League Two, were not fancied by many heading into the game against a Wrexham team who are looking to earn their third successive promotion and are third in League One.
The Welsh side, part-owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, conceded against the run of play midway through the first half. Harrogate forward Jack Muldoon leapt highest from a corner and directed his header past Arthur Okonkwo in the Wrexham net with what was home team's first chance of any real note.
Wrexham created a host of good chances, particularly in the second half as their added firepower was summoned by manager Phil Parkinson from the bench in an attempt to turn the game around.
However, James Belshaw was more than resolute in the Harrogate goal, making excellent saves from Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, George Dobson and Paul Mullin. Right-back Ryan Barnett arguably had the best chance of all, but was unable to control his finish and blazed the ball over the bar.
The Dragons did have the ball in the net in the closing stages of the game after Modou Faal poked home from close range, only to see the offside flag go up to rule it out.
The closing stages were fraught in Yorkshire as Wrexham went direct, with former Premier League player James McClean putting a number of crosses into the box to no avail.
The final act was a ball launched into the area that was plucked appropriately from the sky by Belshaw, who blew a kiss to the travelling Wrexham fans behind his goal after the full-time whistle.
Wrexham return to league action on Saturday against Mansfield Town.
