The social media accounts of reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo were hacked Thursday afternoon, prompting an investigation by the Milwaukee Bucks.
A series of expletive tweets were fired off from Antetokounmpo's Twitter account, and his agent Alex Saratsis told ESPN the star was not responsible for them. The tweets have since been removed.
Once things were seemingly under control, Antetokounmpo's younger brother Kostas, of the Los Angeles Lakers, and his longtime girlfriend Mariah Riddlesprigger, both tweeted on his behalf.
"Giannis' twitter, phone, email and bank accounts were hacked!" both Kostas and Riddlesprigger tweeted. "He genuinely apologizes for everything that was tweeted and he will be back as soon as possible! The things that were said by this hacker were extremely inappropriate and disgusting!"
