GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series Fueled By Sunoco journey south on Memorial Day weekend has expanded.
Following back-to-back events on May 21-22 at Tri-County Racetrack in Brasstown, N.C., the STSS modifieds will roll into Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, S.C., on Saturday, May 23.
This will be the first time the Short Track Super Series has competed in the Carolinas. All three events will be broadcast live on Dirt Track Digest TV, an affiliate of SPEED SPORT TV.
The Saturday event at Cherokee features a 40-lap, $4,000-to-win STSS modified event that is open to all big-block/small-block modified competitors wishing to take part. This is not an invitational event.
Rules will mirror the events at Tri-County with one exception: a 53 option American Racer right-rear will be permitted. Heat races will be set by a draw for position.
All three events will go live on Dirt Track Digest TV at 7 p.m. Racing gets underway at 7:30 p.m.
