DENVER, N.C. – On Point Motorsports has announced that driver Brennan Poole will not drive the No. 30 Toyota Tundra for the remainder of the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series season.

Danny Bohn, who made three starts for On Point Motorsports last season in the Truck Series with a best finish of eighth at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway, will take over driving duties beginning Aug. 21 at Dover Int’l Speedway.

Scott Lagasse Jr. is listed as the driver of the No. 30 for On Point Motorsports for Sunday’s race at the Daytona Int’l Speedway road course.

Poole, who is currently in his rookie season in the NASCAR Cup Series driving the No. 15 for Rick Ware Racing, has competed in 24 Truck Series races for the team since it debuted in 2019. He earned a best finish of second for the team at Charlotte Motor Speedway last year.

“Because of him committing to the the NASCAR Cup Series driver points for 2020, his races are limited in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Series,” On Point Motorsports said in a statement. “Brennan has brought us some great results behind the wheel of our Toyota Tundra trucks. We are looking forward to having him back with us in the future as part of our team.”

Bohn, 32, was a regular on the now defunct NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour from 2012 through 2016, earning four victories during that time period. The No. 30 entry will carry sponsorship from North American Motor Cars and Sierra Delta: Service Dogs for Veterans at Dover and Gateway Motorsports Park on Aug. 30.

“I’m excited to get back on the track in the No. 30 Toyota Tundra truck with On Point Motorsports, ” said Bohn. “Sierra Delta sponsored us for the last two races in 2019, so to have them return alongside North American Motor Car for this season gives me the opportunity to gain further experience in the Truck Series.”
