PLACERVILLE, Calif. – Bobby Hogge won the opening round of California Speedweek for IMCA modifieds on Monday night at Placerville Speedway.
Hogge led all 30 laps of the feature and beat runner-up Nick DeCarlo to the checkered flag by 2.699 seconds.
Shane DeVolder crossed third ahead of Robby Sawyer and Paul Stone, with Jim Pettit III, Jake Pike, Tom Smith, Bill Wilker and Jeffrey Faulkner filling out the top 10.
Forty-three cars were on hand for the event at the quarter-mile El Dorado County Fairgrounds dirt track.
Hogge actually doubled up on the evening, laying claim to the 20-lap limited late model feature as well, with Garrett Jernagan topping the 25-lap IMCA Sport Mod main event.
