CARLISLE, Pa. – Brent Marks is heading on the road this season with CJB Motorsports.
Marks will return to the familiar No. 5 out of the Chad Clemens-owned team, chasing the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions title for the first time in his career.
The Myerstown, Pa., veteran will also compete at other major events during the year that do not conflict with the All Star calendar.
Last season marked the highest number of All Star-sanctioned events that Marks had run in a single year during his sprint car career, with one win, seven top-five and 13 top-10 finishes in 18 feature starts.
Marks spent the majority of last season racing with CJB Motorsports in Central Pennsylvania, but is eager to get back to a touring schedule after previously racing full time with the World of Outlaws from 2017-19.
“I’m really excited to chase after an All Star title with the CJB team,” said Marks. “We have a really exciting schedule for 2021 and adding that into the mix makes it even more exciting. Things are really taking shape in the shop and the guys have been hard at work preparing for this season.
“I’m just looking forward to this year,” Marks added. “We’re excited about what we are doing this season and I want to thank Chad and this team for giving me the opportunity.”
Marks took home four victories during his inaugural season with CJB, including a win during the opening night of the Governors Reign event at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway.
Sponsors for Marks’ effort include M&M Painting and Construction, BAPS Paints, Fredericksburg Eagle Hotel, R.E. Pierson Construction Co., Wolfrun Landscapes, Nyce, Crete & Landis Block and Concrete, C&S Lawn and Landscape and Ecynbro Trucking.
Marks will begin his season Jan. 29-30 during the All Stars’ opening weekend at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Ga.
